Organic Henna Powder 1 kg - USDA Certified

Ingredients

100% USDA Certified Organic Henna Leaves Powder (Lawsonia inermis).

Also known as Red Henna.

How To Use

For Quality Black Colour Hair - Henna + Indigo Instructions:

Step 1: Take 2 tablespoons of henna powder (adjust quantity based on hair length/thickness).
Mix it with warm water in a non-metallic bowl to form a smooth paste. The consistency should be (slightly thinner than yogurt)—wet but not runny.
Let the henna paste sit overnight (6-8 hours) to allow the dye to release. You’ll notice a brownish layer on top when it’s ready.

Step 2: Right before application, mix 4 Tbsp indigo powder with the henna paste and add a little warm water. Stir until it forms a smooth paste (slightly thinner than yogurt).

Indigo must be used immediately after mixing, as it loses potency if left sitting.

Step 3: Apply the paste evenly to your hair, focusing on grey areas or the sections you want to dye.
Coat all strands thoroughly, working from roots to tips.
Cover your hair with plastic wrap or a shower cap and leave it on for 2 hours min. Then wash with normal water.

Note: Avoid shampoo or oil for 24-48 hours to let the colour settle.

The GMP certification ensures quality manufacturing standards. Unlike conventional chemical dyes that strip moisture and damage hair, this pure henna strengthens, conditions, and nourishes hair from deep within whilst colouring. Best Before: Jan 2027.

The 1kg pack provides 8-16 applications depending on hair length.

Pure henna alone produces a rich-brown colour that can darken hair in the days after first application, giving shiny auburn colour to hair. When henna is used alone, it gives light-coloured hair a beautiful red tone. For darker shades from light brown to jet black, henna must be mixed with indigo and other herbs. The colour develops over 24-48 hours after application, deepening during this period. Unlike conventional colours that strip moisture from hair, henna-based colour softens hair and has a conditioning effect. The colour is semi-permanent, lasting 4-6 weeks and gradually fading with each wash rather than leaving harsh regrowth lines. For maintaining vibrant colour, reapply every 4-6 weeks. The more you use henna, the deeper and richer the colour becomes as it builds on previous applications.

Apart from being an amazing ingredient to naturally dye hair, henna strengthens, conditions, and nourishes your hair from deep within. When used alone, it gives light-coloured hair a beautiful red tone and shiny finish. Plant powders used in organic hair colours are rich in polyphenols and flavonoids which have an anti-inflammatory effect, helping soothe itchy, irritated scalp. Henna helps regulate oil secretion, combats itchy scalp, improves premature greying, and makes hair lustrous and shiny. Seven impressive benefits include: conditioning without stripping moisture, strengthening hair shaft, adding natural shine, soothing scalp, balancing oil production, nourishing from within, and providing a chemical-free alternative to synthetic dyes. It doesn't damage hair like chemical dyes do.

Not recommended for individuals with scalp conditions like psoriasis, eczema, fungal infections, open wounds, or chemically treated hair. If you have chemically treated hair (perms, relaxers, or chemical dyes), wait at least 2-3 months before using henna, or do a strand test first. Always do a patch test before use - apply henna paste to a small area of skin behind your ear and wait 24 hours to check for allergic reactions. Research has shown that henna products can sometimes contain contaminants due to lack of quality control in some brands, which may cause allergies, though this USDA certified organic product has strict quality controls. Store in a cool, dry place protected from direct sunlight. The 1kg brown paper bag packaging is eco-friendly and prevents plastic contamination. Mix henna only in non-metallic bowls as metal can affect the dye release.
