In Sanskrit it is Madhu means "Sweet/honey" and Nashini means "Killer". Thus in Ayurveda this herb is known to be the killer of sweet. Widely used in India due to the high rates of Diabetes. Gymnema is the go to herb for many Ayurvedic practitioners when it comes to maintaining regular blood glucose levels.
