FAQs

Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), also known as Indian Gooseberry, is loaded with natural goodness of Vitamin C and is the richest source available. This 100% USDA Certified Organic Amla Powder contains 8 times more vitamin C than an orange, 2 times more antioxidants than an acai berry, and 17 times more than a pomegranate. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage, supports the immune system, and promotes collagen synthesis for healthy skin, hair, and nails. The powder offers a gentle way to support your digestive, skin, and hair health whilst supporting normal immune function. Being packed with nutrients, it's a magnificent superfood powder with 11 powerful health benefits. The powder balances all doshas with a taste profile of sour, bitter, and astringent (with pungent and sweet as secondary notes).

For hair: rich in vitamin C and essential fatty acids, Amla powder strengthens hair follicles, promotes healthy hair growth, and enhances overall shine and texture. It's revered for its ability to stimulate hair growth and prevent premature greying and hair loss. It eliminates dandruff from your scalp, strengthens hair roots, and reduces hair fall, dandruff, and itchy scalp. Amla powder is used to dye release henna and promote hair growth when mixed with henna applications. For skin: rich in antioxidants, Amla powder helps fight free radicals, reducing signs of ageing and promoting a glowing complexion. Its high vitamin C content promotes collagen production, leaving your skin supple, youthful, and glowing. Amla paste is an excellent exfoliating, antioxidant, antibacterial astringent scrub for all skin types. Traditionally valued for supporting skin health and a healthy complexion with soothing properties.

FOR NUTRITIONAL PURPOSES: Mix 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon Amla in 50-70ml warm water and consume in the morning 40 minutes before breakfast or on an empty stomach (ensure you drink a glass of plain water first). You can drink a mix of Amla powder, ginger powder, honey, and lime juice, or add Amla powder to a glass of fresh juice for breakfast. You can also sprinkle some Amla powder on fruits such as banana, apple, or papaya and have as a mini-meal snack. HOW OFTEN: Start with 1/2 teaspoon a day and increase slowly up to 1 teaspoon (2gms) per day. The powder can be mixed into smoothies, used in hair masks with henna, or applied as facial treatments. Always do a patch test before performing full application of any new hair or skin product. The 1kg paper bag provides approximately 500 daily servings at 1/2 teaspoon per day.

Traditionally valued for nurturing digestion, Amla supports a calm stomach and gut function with known soothing properties. The powder is effective for digestive health, helping with various gastrointestinal concerns. As a natural source of Vitamin C, it supports normal immune function - the high Vitamin C content helps protect cells from damage and supports the body's natural defence systems. The antioxidant properties help fight oxidative stress and reduce inflammation throughout the body. Amla's gentle nature makes it suitable for long-term daily use as a nutritional supplement. Being 100% plant-based, non-GMO, not tested on animals, with no fillers or binders, and GMP certified, it's a clean source of nutrition. The powder balances all doshas, making it suitable for all constitutional types in Ayurveda. Store in a cool, dry place protected from direct sunlight.

Please consult with your healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or nursing, taking medications, or have a medical condition. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place and protect from direct sunlight. Avoid large doses in diarrhoea and dysentery - whilst Amla generally supports digestive health, its sour and astringent properties may not be suitable during active diarrhoea. If you're taking blood sugar medications, monitor levels closely as Amla may affect blood glucose. Those on anticoagulant therapy should consult their doctor as high doses of Vitamin C can interact with blood thinners. Start with smaller doses (1/2 teaspoon) and gradually increase to assess tolerance. The sour taste can be strong for some people - mixing with honey or juice makes it more palatable. Best Before: Jan 2027. The brown paper bag packaging is eco-friendly and prevents plastic contamination.
